Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider handles the query and its results under its own systems. We do not keep or log those search terms on our servers.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or direct message may be retained long enough to review and answer it. We keep that correspondence within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the server may collect standard technical details about that visit:

No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The content identifies where Frederick County records can be requested from the Sheriff's Office, county courts, Virginia State Police, and the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is not turned into a consumer report or a file about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and disclosure practices govern information entered there. Review the provider's policy before submitting a query because this policy does not control that processing.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office, Virginia court portals, state agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Check it before providing personal information.
